In a display of determination and camaraderie, four colleagues from CCI recently completed not one, but two half marathons within a span of just two months.

Heulwen Jones, Nicola Jones, Joe Marrit, and David Hughes embarked on this fitness feat to raise funds for a worthy cause. Their adventure began last year when the quartet decided to push their limits and support Ysgol Hafod Lon, a daily school catering to pupils aged 3 to 19 years old with diverse additional needs.
The event, hosted by CCI Credit Management’s Social Committee team, and supported by volunteers and local businesses, was held in the picturesque town of Criccieth. The evening of June 8th brought together music enthusiasts, community members, Hafod Lon students and supporters for an evening of entertainment to fund raise for this exceptional school.
Two months later, in November they laced up their running shoes again for the Conwy Half Marathon. The historic town of Conwy provided the backdrop (as well as wind and snow) as they raced through its medieval streets and traversed the Great Orme.
Team CCI was driven by the power of community. As they crossed finish lines and cheered each other on, their efforts and blisters were not in vain. The funds raised from their dual marathon effort directly benefited Ysgol Hafod Lon. The school’s commitment to personalized education, therapy, and community integration ensures that every student receives the support they need to thrive.
