CCICM Gains Cyber Essentials Certificate Of Compliance

CCICM’s Cyber Essentials certificate of compliance – gained after an external audit including a number of onsite tests assessed against BIS/14/696 – provides a high level of assurance that its Information and Communications Technology (ICT) defences are satisfactory against a commodity-based attack
The Cyber Essentials Scheme (CES) was developed by the UK Government and industry to fulfil two functions. Firstly, implementation provides a clear statement of basic controls all organisations should deploy to mitigate the risk from common internet-based threats. Secondly, certification offers a framework for organisations to assure clients, customers, insurers and suppliers that they have taken these essential precautions.
A CCICM director, Carl Hackman, says: “While CES is a minimum standard from a cyber-security perspective, we use it to bench-test the quality of our enhanced data security systems such as ISO27001. Our clients’ data and reputations are safe with us because we never compromise on quality.”
